Welcome to a golden age of urban biking! At BikeBoston, we cover the rapidly evolving biking infrastructure in the Greater Boston area, celebrating and advocating for the expansion of safe and accessible bike lanes.

I’m Danny Carlat, founder of this website, a passionate urban cyclist and a retired psychiatrist. I started biking in my teenage years in San Francisco, and it’s been a key part of my life ever since. Alongside my wife, I’ve explored some of the world’s most bike-friendly cities—Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Vienna—and we’re thrilled to see Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville following suit, prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists.
