The route: Townshend-Jamaica-Londonderry-Weston-green mountain pass-Shrewsbury-Clarendon-Rutland-Brandon-Lake Dunmore/Branbury state park.
It started raining hard at about 6 am today and the morning orientation was delivered under a canopy in a downpour:
The climbs today were tough, especially in the rain. Here was a typical scene on the road:

You are seeing Type 2 fun written on my face--this was an endless winding uphill stretch--but the reward was downhill most of the way to our campsite, where we had the "Famous chilli" provided by John Ramos, who was one of the original founders of Bostreal. It lived up to its reputation:
